 Sophonias Galvão Dornellas Pessoa (Recife - PE - 03/dez/1870 ● Rio de Janeiro - RJ - 13/out/1941) foi um compositor e maestro que usou o nome Sophonias Dornellas em sua vida artística. Era pai do compositor, pianista, e violoncelista Homero Dornellas (1901-1990). Sua primeira composição gravada foi o tango-canção "Alma em Delírio", interpretado por Francisco Pezzi, em 1929, na Odeon.
